West Chester, PA – The members of the First West Chester Fire Company and the entire West Chester Fire Department join our brothers and sisters in the Pennsylvania State Police in mourning the death of Corporal Timothy O’Connor, who was killed in the line of duty on March 8, 2026, while protecting the citizens of Chester County.
Corporal O’Connor joined the West Chester Fire Department in 2003 as a member of the First West Chester Fire Company. During his time with the department, he served his community with the same courage, commitment, and compassion that would later define his career as a Pennsylvania State Trooper.
Tim exemplified what it meant to be a selfless public servant. His dedication to helping others and his unwavering commitment to public safety were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside him.
The members of the First West Chester Fire Company extend their deepest condolences to Tim’s family, friends, and his brothers and sisters in the Pennsylvania State Police during this difficult time. We mourn alongside them and honor his service and sacrifice. Corporal O’Connor’s legacy of service will never be forgotten. |
