On Saturday, September 29, 2012, the West Chester Fire Department participated in the annual Pennsylvania State Firemen's Parade in Norristown, PA.
The First West Chester Fire Company and the West Chester Fire Department won the 2012 championship Tug of War at the Goshen Country Fair.
Incidents
WCFD battled this house fire in a 3 stroy twin on August 16, 2012. Fire began in the rear and quickly spread inside the building.
Engine 5-12 was dispatched as part of the 3rd Alarm assignment to a building fire in the 600 block of Coates Street in the City of Coatesville.

WCFD Units were dispatched for a reported chimney fire. On arrival of the first Chief Officer fire was discovered in the attic and 3rd floor. Efforts by crews were hampered by a common attic with no fire wall.
