Just before 8:30 pm while members were attending their weekly training night, a reported kitchen fire was dispatched in the 100 block of East Miner Street in West Chester Borough. Initial calls reported a fire on the stove-top. WCFD units arrived quickly to locate a working kitchen fire with "hoarding-like" conditions throughout the structure. The fire was quickly extinguished and crews returned available just before 10 pm. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshals Office.
